Upon receiving an honorable discharge from the military, Dr. Siringo attended New York University (NYU) School of Medicine and graduated with honors. Dr. Siringo then completed an internship in medicine at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City, followed by Ophthalmology Residency at New York Presbyterian-Columbia University Medical Center, where he served his final year as chief resident (selected). After completing training, Dr. Siringo joined the faculty at the University of Colorado as Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology and attending vitreoretinal surgeon. In this capacity he trained medical students, residents and retina fellows for four years, while maintaining a busy clinical and surgical practice. Dr. Siringo was subsequently in private practice in Denver at Omni Eye Specialists, and then joined the Billings Clinic, a large regional hospital center in Montana. He is thrilled to return to his adopted home city of Denver and join Colorado Retina Associates in July 2024. Dr. Siringo has volunteered on numerous international eye care trips to Central America. He is active in research, with more than a dozen peer-reviewed publications, numerous scientific abstracts, book chapters, and invited lectures on topics including retinal imaging, age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and retinal detachment. In his spare time, Dr. Siringo enjoys outdoor activities with family and friends such as long distance running, skiing, cycling and hiking. Outside of medicine, he is an avid reader, with a special interest in history and historical fiction.
