    I had made my annual appointment in December, 2023 for December 2024. Long-range planning on my part. I arrived on time, was checked in promptly, signed a form for Medicare and then found a seat in the waiting area.When I was called by a medical assistant I was shown into a room to start the usual testing. Went with assistant to a different room with high-tech equipment to continue the testing of my eyes. Finished in that room and proceeded to another room which wasnt quite ready for me. I waited and read my Kindle. The final room I was situated in where I had drops placed in my eyes. Dr. Harris came in and we were able to speak about how horrific Hurricane Helene had been in the area of western North Carolina where 223 had lost their lives. He obviously loves that place as do I. My birth was in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, the center of my universe, in December, 1942. Lived there until June, 1960 when my parents moved me to Miles City, Montana for my senior year of high school and college. I wouldnt recommend doing that for every family. It probably was a good move for me since my older brother and sister were a lot smarter than I was. Their reputations were hard to match.It is always a true pleasure to come to Clay Eye for my exam.Just one suggestion for the person who sets up the appointments. Please let the patient know which location would be the best one for that patient proximity wise.When I was speaking to the receptionist several days previously she was setting me up for Fleming Island. I actually live 7 minutes from Clay Eye. That should be discussed with the patient first thing. Not everyone lives out on Fleming Island. Ive been in my home for 45 years now. Im planning on continuing that success story right on into Infinity.Thank u for a good exam and a very pleasurable experience. Linda Alfson

    I waited for maybe a minute in the waiting room before I was called back! Then, when in the back, they were so compassionate and nice, kind of restored my faith with Dr offices. Will definitely use them in the future.
