    Dr. Downer performed my cataract surgery a few years back. It has been nothing short of a miracle and definitely life- changing. I had very high myopia - 20/1000 and 20/800 uncorrected before I developed a cataract. Dr. Downer put my mind at ease about the IOL implants and laser surgery. I know have 20/30 vision and my eyes are no longer starved for oxygen from thick contact lenses! I would recommend Dr. Downer as he is a personable and compassionate surgeon.

    Dr. Hayes confirmed having open angle glaucoma and recommended Latanoprost then Lumigan to lower IOP. Unfortunately, both eye drops did not lower my eye pressure and caused undesirable side effects. On my last appointment, I opted for Selective Laser Trabeculoplasty (SLT). Given the success rate of SLT in the country is 80% and the positive effect may last between two to five years, I expect positive outcome. I will keep you posted on the outcome of SLT in the months and years ahead.
