    Both my husband and I recently (6/23) were examined by Dr. Downer at ClayEye Fleming Is., Fl. Dr. Downer performed a perfect laser cataract surgery replacing my husbands lenses with multi-focal lensesHe loves them!! I was seen for a yearly examine. Dr. Downer is an excellent surgeon with great bedside manners. Hes thorough, personable, professional and were both extremely pleased with the care offered by him and his staff. Thanks for the Great Job!!

    My husband had been experiencing failing sight - which was beyond frustrating. We were referred to Dr. Downer at Clay Eye Physicians by our ophthalmologist. This has been the best thing that could have happened! From the time we made the first appointment, through the initial exam, following the first surgery (right eye), to and including the second surgery (left eye), we have been treated in an extremely friendly yet professional manner, not only by Dr. Downer but all of the staff members we have had contact with. Don's surgeries have been wonderfully successful - we still have visits to go but we are both very satisfied with his care. I recently referred a friend to this office and will continue to refer family and friends.Tressa

    Great clinic, nice people, be cautious if using Tricare Prime insurance as you may very well end up paying over half the bill yourself, and see an optometrist instead of an Opthalmologist ins.

    I first met Dr. Downer at the Kingsley Ave. Clay Eye Center for dry eyes. He put plugs in my eyes, that seem to helped me. My cataracts grew quickly, my vision was impaired. Dr. Downer discussed my options. I chose to pay for Laser to remove cataracts with implants to keep me from wearing glasses, ever again. Im three months out from surgery, with the need for reading glasses with 2.75 for small print. Dr. Downer was serious during surgery on my eyes. Its routine at the Fleming Island surgery center, all the nurses are ready to assist the doctor during the procedure. He is trusted and excellent in his ability to perform the correction in eye sight! I highly recommend Dr. Downer in his specialties at Clay Eye Care. Sincerely, K. Creamer
