I recently had eye surgery at Carolina Eye Associates for rapidly progressive cataracts. For many years Ive had an irrational fear of eye exams, eye doctors, etc., but I can now happily say that after my experience with Dr. Delmonte and his team, that fear has been put to rest. From the moment I walked into the office and was greeted by Hannah at the front desk, she gave me a sense of ease by being incredibly sweet, encouraging, and professional as well as the nurses - Catherine, Sagrario, Ashley, and Paul who were all wonderful and listened to me blabber from all the nerves I had. On to Dr. Delmonte - First and foremost, what a nice human! Incredibly patient, kind, and has the best bedside manner Ive received from a doctor. He was always willing to answer my ludicrous list of questions, listen to me rattle off my neurotic fears, very informative of my surgery process from start to finish so there were no surprises, and most importantly - a terrific surgeon. I cannot thank Dr. Delmonte and his team enough for their care. While these were routine surgeries and not a big deal in most peoples opinion - my vision loss was rapid, scary, and diminished my quality of life. I feel like myself again and am so appreciative to have my vision back to where it needs to be. Thank you Dr. Delmonte for making a difference in my day to day life! Youre my eyes hero
