Dr. Apter is an extraordinary human being, putting the well being of the patient above anything else, well beyond other doctor's experiences I have had before where business and money is put before the real well being of the patient. Dr. Apter is to be commended for being such a unique human being, a real mentsch! Congratulations to Dr Apter

I have been working with Dr. Steven Kane for about three months. I've had eye problems practically my whole life. My eyesight as a child was poor and got progressively worse as I aged. In the mid-1980's I decided to have Radial Keratonomy to correct my vision. Whereas this procedure worked for a while, in the long run it was a poor decision. In 2003 I was diagnosed with early signs of Macular Degeneration, a disease I inherited from my mother. I started taking eye vitamins to delay the progression of this this disease. Then in early 2016 I developed early signs of cataracts. And, to make things worse, I was told I had Fuchs Distrophy, another inherited disease from my mother.By early 2018 I could barely see my computer screen and I was having problems driving, especially at night. I decided to have the cataracts removed and went to see a highly recommended doctor, Steven Kane. This doctor diagnosed my eye problems and was very forthcoming about what he recommended, but at the same time told me about the risks. He had a great bedside manner and I trusted him from the first day I met him. He removed the cataract and corrected my astigmatism in my right eye first. He proscribed eye drops for for the next four weeks. My vision was restored to near perfection the second day after my surgery. But he told me we needed to wait a while to make sure there was not regression. Six weeks later, he removed the cataracts in my left eye, corrected the astigmatism in that eye and took care of my Fuchs Distrophy. The recovery period after this procedure took much longer, about eight weeks. But, to make a long story ... shorter, today my vision is 20/40 without glasses! I see as well now as I did 60 years ago. In my opinion, Dr. Kane is a Miraculous Eye Surgeon. He is brilliant! And, is a great guy. I would recommend anyone needing complex eye surgery to talk with Dr. Steven Kane first and foremost. You'll be glad you found the BEST eye doctor in Florida.Marcus
