    My husband and I live in Alabama, but chose to travel to Largo, Florida to have cataract surgeries by Dr. Weinstock for both of us based on a family member recommendation. The surgeries were highly successful, enabling us to read, drive, and play pickleball with no eye glasses! Dr. Weinstock and his team at the Eye Institute of West Florida are exemplary professionals, and their facilities are equipped with latest technologies with friendly atmosphere. The initial consultation with Dr. Weinstock in choosing lenses was informative as he explained differences between lenses, and our life styles and eye conditions. He helped us to choose the best, practical lenses - not most expensive. Even though we drove long distance and stayed at a rental place for two weeks, this trip is completely worthy. We are very happy with our cataract surgeries, and highly recommend the Eye Institute of West Florida!!

    When my husband and I had cataract surgeries at the Eye Institute of West Florida, Dr. Nora Cothran provided pre and post cataract surgery examinations and consultations. She listened to our needs and questions patiently, and explained all the lenses options and potential outcomes. I am particularly grateful for her advice and intervention prior to my second eye cataract surgery. The original plan was to implant "long distance" lenses for both eyes, and I will need reading glasses. However, after my first surgery on left eye, she evaluated how I was adapting to one "long distance" lens and recognized that I was a good candidate for modified mono vision which meant no need for reading glasses. Dr. Cothran determined optimal lens power for my right eye with a temporary contact lens prior to the surgery, and changed the original "long distance" mono vision plan with the surgeon. It is absolutely amazing to be able to carry out daily activities like driving, reading, and playing sports with no eye glasses! This is only possible with Dr. Cothran's exceptional optometry knowledge and meticulous patient care. We highly recommend Dr. Cothran for anyone needing optometry care!!

    This is my second visit with Dr. Cothran and she was very thorough in explaining her assessment and providing clarification on the eye tests performed. I was very pleased with her services and world recommend her to my family and friends.
