    As the result of an accident many years ago I have a very complex ocular system. Dr.Cothran has enabled me to see out of an eye in which I am considered legally blind. Her professional knowledge is second to none. It is a joy to be with her and to from time to time witness her teaching students.The front desk is outstanding and has even scheduled a next day emergency appointment for me. I wish that all of my medical providers were as conscientious, professional and caring as The Cothran Team, the Front desk and the other Professionals at The Eye Institute.

    The front desk staff are the most unprofessional people I've ever met in a medical office. I was literally laughed at on the phone when I called to tell the staff that my eyes are burning and constantly noticeably red since starting new prescription eye drops! She laughed and said those are just the side effects and I'll just have to deal with it! I couldn't believe she said that to me! I later came back for a follow up and the front desk staff just looked at me like I interrupted her while I waited patiently in line. She then opened her eyes widely and said HI! very loudly in my face but no other greeting. It was uncalled for when I was just in line to check in. Dr. Schwartz, the glaucoma specialist, is nice and professional. It's unfortunate that this is the only glaucoma specialist in a very large radius because it's always a bad mood and unprofessional behavior from the front desk staff. If you're not going for glaucoma, find a specialist somewhere else to be treated like a normal human being.
