    If you are teetering between lasik and refractive lens exchange - go with refractive lens exchange! Dr. Neal Desai is literally THE BEST in Southern U.S. I suffered from astigmatism, severe myopia and the beginning stages of presbyopia. The refractive lens exchange targets all of these vision issues and also prevents you from cateracts! My Right eye surgery took place 10/15/20 and immediately improved the next day. Left eye was completed 10/24/20 and I am over the moon! Every day I wake up, my vision continues to improve. I've been told that the full effects will take 4 to 6 weeks. But I must say that I feel 20/20 now already! Maybe a lite bit of halo at night-time, to be expected and should get better in time. I am so happy I made the choice for lens replacement. Procedure is a bit more pricey than lasik, but the pros heavily outweigh the cons!

    Their staff is great. I had to have cataract surgery in both eyes due to an accident. Arrived for my check up early. They wouldn't let me in the building w/o one. Told me 'm APPT was cancelled.' Next I get a snotty letter from them stating my business was no longer welcome & for me to try Tampa General for my followups. Still billing me for $108 I owe. What part of YOU Broke the Contract, do they don't understand.

    Excellent follow before and after my cataract surgery. I highly recommend Dr. Panchal and the staff at The Eye Institute of West Florida.

    Dr. Cothran was the best eye doctor that I have visited! She was extremely thorough in every aspect of my eye and vision. Even when she suspected a serious problem of the pituitary lesion to the visual pathway and the serious problems that I would encounter - Everything worked out well. She went the extra mile to ensure that I was ok!I really appreciate her and her diligent work and team; ensuring that my eye health was great!I have already recommended her; and I will continue to do so!
