Totally destroyed my right eye from a botched cataract surgery. Two surgeries starting with Robert Weinstock, followed up by Richard Hariston. Nearly 6 months later can not see from my right eye. Dr Hariston discharged me saying what he did was fine. I now have a cornea problem. Set me up an appointment at the end of December with Dr Desai. Nothing but broken promises stringing me around until I received a second opinion.

Dr Hairston is amazing. I feel well taken care of in his hands and with his staff.

While I am extremely happy with the care I received from Dr. Diakonis, this office is very big and there's a lot going on. The front staff isn't as attentive or friendly as the new Clearwater office. I honestly think it's because it is so busy that perhaps they just can't give that one on one attention that a smaller office can. They are just as vigilant here about the sanitation during the pandemic but I feel safer at the Clearwater office because it's very easy to miss someone who slips in while they are busy with someone else this lowing for someone not to have their temperature taken or not wear a mask when they enter. That aside, Dr. Diakonis is super knowledgeable and kind. I felt like I was in extremely good hands as I had a serious problem with my cornea. He took great care of my eye.

I have seen both Dr. Diakonis and Dr. Smith at this office. Dr. Diakonis' speciality is corneas. I had an ulcer on mine as well as an infection. He is extremely knowledgeable and also very personable. This office is new and it's very clean and comfortable. Everyone of the staff is very kind. They are very vigilant about keeping everything sanitized during this pandemic and about talking your temperature as soon as you enter. Everyone must were a mask as well. There is hand sanitizer provided in the lobby and throughout the facility.Today was my first visit with Dr. Smith O.D. I needed a new eye exam after the problem I had with my cornea. She was also very knowledgeable and personable. Very laid back but also professional. I feel comfortable making a permanent change to her for all of my eye care needs.

The visit was good and there was no issues but the billing department is not friendly and they wont resolve any billing issues or wont even talk to you about that. I tried to reach billing department with my concerns and Heather from billing department was really rude and did not listen to what I have to say and just abruptly disconnected the call. I have never experienced such bad service in my life from a healthcare facility. Strict actions need to be taken against this. Not everyone is an expert in all the fields, when the patient has a question and trying to understand something on the bill the representative should have the basic courtesy to explain it at least, but Heather on the other hand just told I cannot answer to you and disconnected the call. I came for a regular checkup with a optometrist and the doctor did not mention any issue but I got the Bill stating something about Corneal scar and was billed under medical complications, I am just trying to understand why I was billed for some complications which I am not aware of and till now I don't have an answer for this. If you still prefer a doctor and have to visit this organization then hope you wont face any billing issues and if you face one then be ready to face the wrath of billing department.
