I am 51 and was told I needed cataract surgery on both eyes and was referred to the Eye Institute of West Florida. My doctor was Robert Weinstock. I opted to have lenses put in my eyes and astigmatism correction in addition to my cataract surgery. The office and the doctor went out of their way to get me in to surgery before the end of the year so that my insurance would pay the portion authorized for the cataract part of the surgery as I had met my deductible that year.Everyone was so nice and helpful from the shuttle van drivers to the finance department, from the doctor and techs to the reception and the ladies (Jenny) who schedule the surgeries were efficient and on point- very responsive.I was scared but other patients who had already gone through the surgery reassured me that it would be a piece of cake. There was some wait time for the appointments but you could tell they were helping lots of people in as efficient manner as possible. There were even ambassadors in the lobby that showed you videos of the surgery on a tablet and there were cookies, coffee and since it was December - apple cider. Upstairs the lobby surgery center seemed dull and small compared to the lobby downstairs but after my cataracts were removed the room brightened up lol - having cataracts is like looking through wax paper and I did not realize it was affecting my vision that much. Still think they could decorate the surgery center lobby a little more festively for those of us who can't see well yet. lolI opted for the mono vision which means one eye is distance and one eye is near sighted - so far after my first check up my vision is 20/20. No problems-no glasses needed. (I wore bifocals before surgery) Still using the drops daily and waiting for my next check up to see if it all settles fine. I did not have great night vision before surgery and that has not improved but being able to see distance and read and work on the computer all without glasses is awesome!I will strongly recommend The Eye Institute of West Florida, Dr. Weinstock and his staff to anyone who needs eye surgery.

Dr. Mohadjer is wonderful, smart, and very caring. She is so talented and gifted. My experience with my surgery was amazing and smooth. Minimal bruising, mild swelling and went back to work after 3 days. Results in one word PERFECTION. I get compliments on my eyes all the time. Thank you Dr. Mohadjer for everything. I am so very happy with my results.
