    I currently work here at EIWF as a surgical counselor for Dr. Neel Desai. The staff here is amazing to work with and I thoroughly enjoy being on his team. He takes his time with each patient and has a great bedside manner. I have watched him in surgery and even experienced having PRK surgery myself and he was nothing but an angel. His voice is very calming and he is always willing to reassure his patients and answer all their questions. He is also a wonderful teacher, which makes clinic more fun as I sometimes get to watch different things he does for patients. I used to be a -8.00 prescription in contacts and had worn them since 2nd grade, now I can see wonderfully without any correction. I could not be more thankful for this gift of sight he has given me. I would recommend him to everyone for cataract, cornea, and refractive surgery (as well as dry eye syndrome)!

    I had a very good experience at the Eye Institute. Dr. Robert Weinstock did my surgery. I had cataract surgery with correction of astigmatism and custom distance lenses implanted. I'm just over 2 weeks from my second eye being done and I'm seeing much better than I ever saw without glasses even prior to having cataracts!! I've worn glasses from the age of 12 due to severe astigmatism. I have yet to have my actual post-op eye exam, so I don't know for sure how "successful" the surgery was in terms of no longer having to wear glasses for distance. I do THINK however that this exam will be a positive one as I really am able to see much better than ever before!!My only "gripe" would be that I would have liked this experience to have been a little less impersonal. For instance, the only time I saw Dr. Weinstock was on the initial day of my very first consultation. I never saw him before my surgery on the day of surgery. I vaguely remember a "person" in "scrubs and a mask" telling me that it was him. However I was already under anesthesia and very drugged up so in fact that person could have been anyone!! I am not even beginning to imply that it was not the doctor!! I am just saying as a "for instance" that it COULD HAVE been anyone and I wasn't too happy with this one part of my entire experience there.Otherwise, everyone there was absolutely exceptional in the way they treated and cared for me!! The procedure was totally painless. The only thing I felt was some pressure. The medications they gave me were more than effective. There's honestly nothing to fear!!I have nothing but praise after my experience with this doctor and facility and would highly recommend it to anyone needing such surgery.I hope this review will be of help and comfort to anyone needing this surgery done.

    I was introduced to this practice after an eye exam at Lenscrafters at Tyrone Mall. Dr Sacksteder caught that I had narrow angle glaucoma and referred me to Dr Kevin Greenidge. I had laser iridotomy and within days the pressure was gone and my eyes felt much, much better. I just had my 2-year check up yesterday and my prescription has not changed and my optic nerves looked fine. Both of these doctors are superb and the office staff at both their Largo and St Pete locations are also exceptional--professional and efficient all the way. My eyes feel great. I highly recommend this practice if you're looking for a full-service practice including specialists and high tech equipment. Jenny Collins
