Very good clinic, the service is outstanding and both Dr. Darnule and Donnelly are both very competent and patient focused.Also, regarding a comment in I read - it is standard practice in all pain clinics to ask questions about depression. The reason is because pain and emotion are closely tied together in the brain and medications applied for pain and depression can have a cumulative effect. Many new pain treatments are managed through the use of both pain medicines and antidepressants, but they have to be aware of your mental state before they can treat. Pain psychiatrists specialize in treating long term pain through customizing treatments, especially for patients with untreatable conditions which are more likely to result in depressive symptoms. Pain and depression go hand in hand, unfortunately. One shouldnt assume a prejudice on the part of the physician, especially since some of the practices, such as random drug screens, are required in order to maintain retain levels of prescription privileges.
