I have been contemplating getting LASIK for almost 8 years, and last week I finally decided to do it! I chose Mann Eye Institute over another high status Austin, overall Texas, ranked business because of how they made me feel at my free consultation. I was greeted very warmly, with smiles on all the staff members. The building itself was modern and very welcoming, whereas the competing business was located in an old outdated homey type building. Roland made sure to answer all of my questions genuinely taking his time so that I felt comfortable and understood each answer. The eye exam was much more involved with more detailed examination than at the other business and again was done with no rush.I loved this because it made me feel like they really cared about my eyesight and getting my eyesight corrected, correctly. I chose to schedule my surgery that day because of how calm and fitting they felt for me. Surgery day was no different. The receptionist remembered not only mine, but also my partners name and greeted us with so much happiness and a beautiful smile. Though I was nervous, what truly made my nerves settle was when Dr. Barker asked if he could pray with my partner and I before heading into surgery... That right there was the exact moment that I KNEW without a doubt that I had chosen the right place. The surgery itself took less than, I believe, minutes. It is so easy. I recommend not only getting LASIK but going to Mann Eye Institute to get it done to anyone that is looking to ditch their glasses and contacts! So happy and so satisfied with Mann Eye!

Had my procedure done today! The staff and Dr. Mike Mann were great! I was very scared and super nervous but the staff put me at ease by answering all my questions and explaining everything to me and what I could expect. Dr. Mann himself even called just now to check on me and see how I was feeling! Hands down the best experience I have had. I truly felt like the staff and Dr.Mann cared about me and were not just trying to get in my wallet like most places usually make you feel! Definitely recommend to everyone considering Lasik.
