Had a wonderful appointment and experience with Dr. Melton. I went in for evaluation for potential cataract surgery. After my eye exam, we had a long discussion regarding my situation. I only knew that I had cataracts from previous eye exams over the past few years. I was not having any significant vision issues, although, I knew having IOL implants might improve my far vision and clarity. Dr. Melton was very honest and upfront regarding surgery and what I might expect at this stage of my cataract development. She recommended that I wait to have any surgery. She did not try to sell me on getting the surgery done and this was very reassuring to me, as she definitely had the patients (my) best interests at heart. I say all of this to detail the trust I gained in Dr. Melton for her straightforward and truthful recommendations. Eventually I will need surgery but this is not the right time. Thank you Dr. Melton for your honesty and for explaining in detail why this wasnt the right time for me to have surgery.
