Was checked in very quickly by excellent admin staff. Was first seen by Jess. She was amazing and thorough. Very professional and skilled. A true pleasure working with her. Then Melanie did a few more things and was just as skilled and personable. Finally, Dr. Gamble finished up with me and was super nice and competent. On the way out I stopped in the frames department and also had a great experience there, as well.

A local branch of this metro-wide local/natural food purveyor is a much appreciated addition to this wee but burgeoning neighborhood. Still working out the kinks on a few areas, but a pretty epic meat/cheese counter, nicely curated beer/wine section, lots of little treats scattered about, a good baseline selection of veggies/fruit and breads - a solid foundation to build on.brbrService is a bit scattered, but trying to improve - the lady behind the meat/cheese counter was particularly helpful and friendly on our couple of visits. Whoever runs the produce down at the branch on the waterfront should come up here and knock their options into shape - some stuff was struggling in the sun by the windows/chiller by the wall.brbrIt was a great help to have this place right down the road during our long weekend staying in the west end, and the slightly later hours were much appreciated as well. I have no doubt that it will continue to grow along with this neighborhood into a venerable piece of the fabric of its surroundings.brbrIn terms of the prices, they seemed reasonable to me as a resident of a far off arid land metropolitan center. Its a neighborhood artisan market - its not a grocery store. Everything has to be carried in from a smaller truck off a bigger truck, which equals a slight surcharge to make it all work out. Totally worth it to us to not have to drive to a bigger store, and enjoy the area a bit more during our stay. It does seem like this area is changing economically, and we are all too familiar with that pinch as well. Hopefully they can keep working on it and find a happy medium to fit well in to the neighborhood!

Though they still continue to clear the meat and bread bins an hour before closing time, the service has improved dramatically. Theyve hired some new folks and the long timers seem nicer, which is great. Im guessing they received complaints and told the snarky employees to tone it down ;) Either way, the change is noticeable and appreciated.
