An outstanding exam done by a polite, capable as well as professional staff. I mean everyone there from the young lady at the door taking temperatures, to reception, the lovely pre exam lady and finally Dr. Matthew Thees. It felt like being reunited with an old friend. He was that nice a person. He also performed a very thorough exam all the while putting me at ease with interesting small talk. He said how they had 18 doctors there and some one was on call 24/7. He also went out of his way NOT to sell me frames, (unlike other places). He said I should buy them where I felt best about it. I liked that-a lot. I left that office complex with the feeling that I had just made a bunch of new friends and, oh yes, got a hell of a good exam too.

While almost all of us have had some sort of issue during the times of Covid19, Dr. Holly McCarthy continues to provide outstanding services at the Lowell Street location. Systemic policies seem to be working well, staff and processing worked fine, but Dr. McCarthy is absolutely fantastic. Her notes were in order, her questions logical, her answers to my questions made sense, and he tableside manner is personable, caring, and warm. I highly recommend Dr. McCarthy and this location for genuine and professional eye care.

I had cataract surgery yesterday 7/21. There are not enough W and Os in WOW,I can SEE again!Professional kind staff do not occur by accident or luck. Dr. Cady and staff are World Class.Every step is explained with care and compassion.I wish I had the procedure earlier. I will be back in August for the other eye.........Sincere thanks for turning on the lights.Jim @ 20/20

Dr. Cady has been my ophthalmologist fo many years and I am always very pleased with the care I receive from him and his staff of associates. Dr. Cady is very professional, taking time to listen to my concerns and explain things in a clear and easy to understand way. I never feel rushed when I have an appointment. I recently had cataract surgery with Dr Cady doing the procedure and it was a quick and easy process. I give Dr Cady and his staff an A+ rating for their knowledge and professionalism as well as their excellent interpersonal skills that make me feel well received and well taken care of as a patient.

My name is Mercedes E. Villamil and I am a patient of Dr. R. Samuel Cady at Maine Eye in Portland, Maine.I had cataracts removed on Dec. 3, 2019 and on January 28, 2020.Both procedures went exceedingly well. There are not enough superlatives to describe the excellent care I received from Dr. Cady and his staff. Bear in mind that I am an anxious person but Dr. Cady put me at ease with his patient and kind demeanor and his professionalism.
