The treatment I got here from the front desk to the people prepping me for LASIK to the doctor and his team in the OR are far superior to the people at the Nashville office. I highly recommend going to this office vs. Nashville. Havent had any follow ups or anything there, so cant speak to the waits or if they rush like they do in Nashville though.

Honestly all the stars are for the doctors themselves, the Dr. Doherty was great who did my LASIK procedure and the followup with Dr. Barberic was fine too. The negative is that the front office and assistant back staff has really left a bad taste in my mouth the main lady who has been there every time Ive come in and checked in at the front desk and has called me just seems generally uninterested, unenthusiastic, misunderstanding and short. I just had a second follow up today, and when I went to schedule a 3rd follow up, I told her I needed early morning, before 9, and she told me she had an appointment at 9:10, which I said would not work, I live an 35 minutes to an hour away, and I work at 10. After going back and forth she said she would call me, she did, she just told me my appointment and just hung up? Really bad phone manner. To top that off, I was told to sit and wait to be checked out, Ive been to several doctors offices for a variety of things and generally they have either a designated person to check out people or do it before people checking in. There was 3 people at the front desk and one was just sitting in the middle doing nothing. (Not sure why she was there? As there was only 2 computers)My consultation also took almost 3 hours, which meant I had to use half a day sick leave vs. a couple hours or less because of lunch hour. Again the same front desk girl, very unenthusiastic and nonchalant, after being there 3 times now, this cannot be a bad day this is just how she is.Ironically everything just seems super rushed, while they expect you to be patient with long waits. Its fine to wait but I would expect that they would at least take the time then. The back office staff almost looks like theyre on a clock to do everything as fast as possible. Im not sure if they overbook themselves or what (more people mean more money right?)All and all, I havent been impressed with any of the more cosmetic/elective medical offices Ive been to in Nashville, they make it crystal clear with how they treat you, youre just a number that forks over a lot of money. If you need actual medical stuff with your eye, go to an ophthalmologist that their main thing isnt to do cosmetic procedures (like LASIK) and go to a stand alone optometrist office for eye exams, glasses and contacts, and check ups. If you want LASIK, Id still recommend them because the alternatives are not any better (one was pretty sketchy that they were using a number to a different office , and the other talked down to other providers who took insurance) and they at least acknowledge VSP discounts. Get your LASIK done at Goodlettsville and not Nashville, I was very much impressed with the front desk there, the people who took care of me, and the doctor.
