My father needed special help due to multiple tumors, causing facial drooping and a drooping eye lid, they suggested a gold weight be added inside his eye lid to assist in blinking from his nerve damage.They took care of him in a professional manner and got thing moving.

If you are told you need cataract surgery, chances are you arent aware of the gradual deterioration of your sight. Wow, quite an improvement and no pain so its a win-win!

With much nervousness and trepidation I went to Kovach Eye Institute (referred by my Optometrist) for cataract surgery - both eyes. I was nervous about the surgery (you only have two eyes!), but excited about the potential of not needing glasses. The staff (Debbie and Regina) at the South Barrington location (where I had my initial consults) was awesome! They made sure that I was calm, answered all my questions (sometimes more than once), helped with all my appointments. Dr. Mateen helped me understand the procedure and assured me that I would be happy with the results. My eyes have some complications, but Dr. Mateen made sure there werent any problems. Follow-ups have been good and results outstanding! Friends told me the surgery was nothing, but I was still nervous. After the first eye, I realized it was a piece of cake, and by the second eye, I was lets get er done! My eyes are still adjusting slightly, and currently Im needing cheaters for reading (which was expected), my vision has been corrected to 20/20 and 20/25! Im so happy with the result! Thank you again Dr. Mateen and colleagues!
