Dr. Mateen is a phenomenal surgeon! All the staff very professional and friendly. The attention to detail extremely meticulous. I had many appointments for measurements and examinations of my eyes. My vision is extremely important to me. Not just because of my work, Im a nurse so I depend on my eyes in my hands, but just as a human being. I would rather be deaf than blind,. I appreciated very much the care that was taken to make sure that I had a good outcome.to make sure that everything went exactly to plan so my vision would come out perfect. The surgery itself, they do one eye at a time, which is also extremely important. Took maybe 10 minutes minutes or less. I was fortunate enough to be able to see the surgery from my side. I know thats not desirable for most people, but since I am a medical professional, I was astounded by the precision and expertise of Dr. Mateen. But dont let that put you off. They do have twilight anesthesia so you dont have to see or remember any of it. I will be sending everyone I know who needs cataract surgery to Dr. Mateen and Kovach eye Center.

I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Edward Yavitz for my appointment. He was very sweet, and his energy created a calm, relaxed atmosphere. The staff members I spoke with were also exceedingly kind, friendly, and gentle with patients. I would highly recommend this place to my loved ones! Thank you Kovach!
