I've been going to Dr. Kovach for over 20 years. Everybody is very professional and friendly from the people at the front desk, to the technicians, to Dr Kovach. I couldn't recommend them more.

I have been wearing glasses since I was four and have been told my entire life that my eyes are difficult to fit. Several doctors over the years gave up on me ever having better than 20/35 vision even with glasses. I've been given soft contact prescriptions that were barely better than wearing nothing. Basically, I never have high expectations when I'm walking into a new eye doctor.Man, am I thankful I went to Dr. Charles (Huang)! This guy is the real deal. He was up front and honest about my plan of care and made it very clear that there would be a lot of time involved for trial and error, but that if I was up for it, he would do everything he could to give me accurate vision with a comfortable lens fit. He also set my expectations by saying that there would be a point when he couldn't make things any better, and that he'd let me know when we got there.His patience and determination to make me happy is unmatched by any medical provider I've visited in any specialty. Dr. Charles tirelessly explained why my eyes are difficult to fit with metaphors that I could understand and always made sure I understood next steps and what improvements might be possible with what adjustment and how much time. It must have taken incredible patience to work with me.Unless you have bad eyes, you don't know how much the right lenses change your life. I can go to bars and see the menu board! I can drive and wear sunglasses! I can go for a run and not run into bush branches because I see them too late! THANK YOU, Dr. Charles!Office staff: They are nice to you if you are nice to them, just like at any office.

Got injured last year, and went in for treatment. They helped me through all that, and even called me to check on my progress between appointments. When that was all done, they fit me for some new glasses, and I see much better than I did on my old glasses. Always nice and helpful. Great location for downtown workers.

AWESOMEEE service from all the Doctors to the receptionists. My 18mth old baby was seen here on Sep 21st for a "foreign body" in his right eye and we were given an Excellent service. Everybody was there to meet my lit guy and I couldn't thank them more for their awesome service. They were super patient and kind with my Baby who as soon as he saw them started to freak out but they were able to calm him down to the point where my baby was comfortable with them. I am so glad I was able to find great awesome people to treat my baby. Definitely will refer people to this clinic. I loved it and I thank them for being kind, patient and Caring with my baby. Keep up the great service!!!

I've seen horrible reviews on this site and they don't resemble my experiences here. I have been coming to the office for over ten years and have never experienced any rudeness from the office staff. The front desk can be a bit brusque, but it never reached a level of rudeness. The past three exams, I've been seen by Dr. Hoang, and he is great - he communicates very well and he's friendly and direct in explaining the various tests and the results of the tests. Prior to that, I saw Susan Taub and she was also excellent.I can't comment on the insurance issues people have raised - my company doesn't offer vision care coverage, so I pay out of pocket for everything.
