I was terrified to have cataracts surgery and therefore, put it off as long as possible. I went to Kovach Eye Institute in Elmhurst to discuss my cataracts with Dr. Mateen AliNiazee. The staff at Kovach is extremely professional and caring. After having all of the necessary readings done, I met with Dr. Mateen. He immediately put me at ease during that first appointment and explained what was going to happen during the surgery through the follow up care. I had my surgery, on both eyes, and couldnt be happier! Dr. Mateen met with me before the surgery at the surgical center. He told me what he was going to do throughout the surgery, making sure that I was comfortable and calm throughout. I couldnt have asked for a more caring, professional doctor! I have already referred Dr. Mateen AliNiazee to several people who are facing cataract surgery in the near future. Thank you for everything Dr. Mateen!

I can honestly say that the entire staff of Kovach Eye Institute have been most helpful. I was having problems with entering my medical history online. I called Kovach and the people I spoke with were kind and patient with me explaining what I should do. The day of my surgery the entire staff were pleasant and helpful and put me at ease. I must add I was completely happy with the results of my surgery above all else.

Had laser trabeculoplasty performed by Dr. Kovach. I am pleased with the results of the procedure. Dr. Kovach explained the treatment and what to expect very thoroughly. In my experience, he always runs late. Although you may be in an exam room on time, he may not see you for 30 minutes or more after the appointment time. However, in spite of running late, he doesnt shortchange you on time! I got all my questions answered and I ask lots of questions.

Great service! Very professional. My tech was very attentive and explained everything he was doing and why. The equipment was very high-tech. My doctor is an specialist an it shows. The reception is very big and comfortable, the bathrooms super clean and well kept and it was towards the end of the day. I truly was impressed.
