    My wife and I travel from Harbert,Michigan to the Chicago Kovach Eye Institute at 150 N. Michigan Avenue for our annual and semi-annual exams. The personal care given by Dr. Charles, Hector, and Gloria cant be beat. We are treated like family here with much respect and care. Dr. Charles and Hector go out of their way to make sure they address any questions or concerns you have. I highly recommend their Chicago office.

    I had cataract surgery, performed by Dr. Kovach, in July, 2018. I could not believe how much better I could see after the surgery. The surgery, itself, was quick and painless. After 4 months, I had a follow-up visit with Dr. Kovach, and he discovered that I had secondary cataracts. This required a laser procedure, which was done in his office. That procedure was also quick and painless. The only negative would be the long waiting time. My last two appointments took approximately 2 hours (one for a quick follow-up check-up; and one for the 5-minute laser procedure), most of the time was spent waiting. Everything was very professional; but I wish there was a way to lessen the waiting time.

    Dr. Kovach made what was a considerably stressful experience a great one. Having heard about all the cataract horror stories, I was so reluctant; and to find out that glaucoma was a factor, only added to my anxiety as I am a graphic arts designer. Needless to say, Dr. Kovach had his hands full with me as a patient. However, from his staff all the way down to the facility made this event as pleasant as could be. I highly recommend him! He is the man for your eyes! Thanks a bunch Dr. Kovach!

    I have been going to Dr Kovach since 1997 and he probably performed one of his first laser LASIK eye surgery. Amazing 15 min I walked out of the office and looked up with clear eye protector on and could see such detail in the clouds that I never saw before with glasses. A few years ago he noticed cataracts and I agreed to have laser cataract surgery which was also painless and I could see Great. Dr suggested that new adjustable lens are available like the human lensI went with the new lens which Medicare only paid a portion. I am so pleased I can see near and far perfect. last weeks eye exam was 20/20 L and 20/25 R. Dr Kovach has the latest equipment and does the latest procedures I am very pleased e em though I am a senior with health problems.
