    I recently had cataracts removed from both eyes. Dr. Matten`s skill, kindness and expertise have given me 20/20 vision. this is the first time since I was 4 years old that I do not need glasses. That ends 76 years of wearing glasses. Growing up i was teased and picked on because of my glasses. I heard all of the cruel names like 4 eyes and coke bottle glasses. I was the only child with glasses from kindergarten to 4th grade. I can`t begin to tell you how wonderful it feels now.I see the world through clear grey eyes. Colors are bright and crisp. I can see individual leaves on trees. It is like seeing the outdoors for the first time.I am an avid reader. Thanks to Dr. Mateen I am back up to 3 books per week.I would highly recommend Kovach Eye Institute. The staff is professional, caring and great at all they do.     I went there for lasik eye surgery it was wonderful, it felt alot like taking a nap, and everything turned out great.
