They are a great staff; took me right in when I was having issues with my vision. It ended up a detached retina and squeezed me in for surgery the next morning first thing. I highly recommend them for all of your Eye needs.

This was my first time seeing Dr. Charles Hoang since the passing of our trusted Doctor Taub. I was hoping that Dr Charles would continue with the same philosophy of not rushing me to remove my cataract. Dr. Charles was very helpful in informing me of all I should know concerning my eyes. He was professional, friendly and helpful. I liked him from the beginning and it was good to see Hector and Gloria still running the office with the same warm and helpful atmosphere I've come to appreciate over the years. It might be good to state that I travel a distance to come to this office and that I did try a reputable place closer to where I live for my check-up last year. I really missed the personal care I had gotten used to so I decided to come back to the office on Michigan Ave. I'm glad I did and I plan to continue as a patient.

My wife and I travel from Harbert,Michigan to the Chicago Kovach Eye Institute at 150 N. Michigan Avenue for our annual and semi-annual exams. The personal care given by Dr. Charles, Hector, and Gloria can't be beat. We are treated like family here with much respect and care. Dr. Charles and Hector go out of their way to make sure they address any questions or concerns you have. I highly recommend their Chicago office.

I had cataract surgery, performed by Dr. Kovach, in July, 2018. I could not believe how much better I could see after the surgery. The surgery, itself, was quick and painless. After 4 months, I had a follow-up visit with Dr. Kovach, and he discovered that I had "secondary cataracts". This required a laser procedure, which was done in his office. That procedure was also quick and painless. The only negative would be the long waiting time. My last two appointments took approximately 2 hours (one for a quick follow-up check-up; and one for the 5-minute laser procedure), most of the time was spent waiting. Everything was very professional; but I wish there was a way to lessen the waiting time.
