I've seen horrible reviews on this site and they don't resemble my experiences here. I have been coming to the office for over ten years and have never experienced any rudeness from the office staff. The front desk can be a bit brusque, but it never reached a level of rudeness. The past three exams, I've been seen by Dr. Hoang, and he is great - he communicates very well and he's friendly and direct in explaining the various tests and the results of the tests. Prior to that, I saw Susan Taub and she was also excellent.I can't comment on the insurance issues people have raised - my company doesn't offer vision care coverage, so I pay out of pocket for everything.

I've been going there for years, seeing Dr. Hoang, and he's been outstanding. I've also had great experience with the staff, including the glasses sales staff (who have fixed broken frames for me a number of times without charging me). No complaints at all.

Highly recommend. Dr. Kovach and his staff are very personable, highly professional, and have a state of the art facility. I'm an optometrist and work with many ophthalmologists, including Dr. Kovach, to co-manage various ocular issues including lasik, glaucoma, cataracts, and macular degeneration When it was time for me to have my own cataract surgery I chose Dr. Kovach. Having seen a number of his post-op patients I felt he would provide me the best care and best results. I'm very happy with the outcome of my surgery and would recommend Dr. Kovach to my family and friends.

Wow, after reading some of the comments that have been posted here I had to write a review. My wife has been a patient with the Taub Eye Clinic since 1999 when she first moved to the Chicago area. My wife has keratoconus, for those who don't know it's a degenerative eye decease, which makes her a very difficult fit for contacts and can at times require multiple sets of contacts prior to getting a correct fit. That being said Dr. Taub and Charles are the only doctors that have not only been able to fit her contacts but we believe are the reason her corneas haven't completely deteriorated. We've tried other doctors, including doctors at Emory and The Mayo Clinic and at the end of the day we always end up coming back to them. We no longer live in Chicago and after trying to find a doctor to care for her eyes, we ended up having to go back to them in order to get her properly cared for. YES, that's right we traveled over 800 miles to visit them in order to get her eyes the proper care and will continue to do so. As far as the staff is concerned they've always been pleasant enough and during a two year period when we where self pay, they often performed needed test at a discounted cost or even free in order to make sure my wife's eyes where well cared for.

This is about Dr Roberts and the staff at the Elmhurst office. WOW. After years of receiving poor service from other ophthalmologists and their staff, I was blown away by the kindness, timeliness and professionalism of the staff (Norma, Amy and Dr Roberts) Would highly recommend them.
