    I saw Dr. Hoang on 06/01/2018.To start, the staff was amazing on the phone when I initially called asking to schedule an appointment and that I would be a new patient. The first thing that was said was, "Welcome to the office!". I have never, in all my years of doctors appointments, been greeted with such. They were courtesy and accommodating both when I made the appointment and called back later that day to see if they had any earlier openings. On Friday during the AM, I received a phone call from an unrecognized number (I usually don't answer those) and decided to pick up. The doctor was calling from another location. He asked what my contact prescription and brand was to make sure he had something at the Elmhurst location that he could check the fitting with. Dr. Hoang then let me know they had a busy load that day, to eat before I came (in case I was waiting) and that he looked forward to my appointment.Upon arrival, the staff was just as friendly, welcoming and courteous. They were packed full of people but I only ended up waiting another 15 or so minutes which is expected at any doctors office. The tech who took care of me was explanatory and attentive to my needs. She explained the entire process, what she was doing, and offered any answers to the questions I had. The exam rooms were clean and inviting. The tech took care of all my glasses prescription needs and had me put in the trial contacts while I waited for the doctor.Dr. Hoang came in and was super professional but also extremely relatable. He was absolutely down to earth and amazing. He was attentive to my needs, explained everything in depth, checked my eyes, gave me a few trial contacts and thanked me profusely for coming to see him. I had to schedule another appointment for a test and I will definitely be coming back to see him in the future!

    Outside of the fact that eye exams take time for eye dilation, etc. I have received great service from Dr. Kovach. He is a very caring doctor and has many patients who ask many questions, so he answers them all. This is a good thing, but know that you should allow for a little extra time at your visit. The staff are all very helpful and I recommend this eye care highly.

    With much nervousness and trepidation I went to Kovach Eye Institute (referred by my Optometrist) for cataract surgery - both eyes. I was nervous about the surgery (you only have two eyes!), but excited about the potential of not needing glasses. The staff (Debbie and Regina) at the South Barrington location (where I had my initial consults) was awesome! They made sure that I was calm, answered all my questions (sometimes more than once), helped with all my appointments. Dr. Mateen helped me understand the procedure and assured me that I would be happy with the results. My eyes have some complications, but Dr. Mateen made sure there weren't any problems. Follow-ups have been good and results outstanding! Friends told me the surgery was nothing, but I was still nervous. After the first eye, I realized it was a piece of cake, and by the second eye, I was let's get 'er done! My eyes are still adjusting slightly, and currently I'm needing "cheaters" for reading (which was expected), my vision has been corrected to 20/20 and 20/25! I'm so happy with the result! Thank you again Dr. Mateen and colleagues!

    I developed a tear and small detachment in my retina. With the help of my optometrist, I was able to get in to see Dr. Saad Ahmed immediately and he repaired the detachment the same day by injecting a bubble of gas into my eye and had me come back the next day to repair the tears with a laser. I am grateful that he was able to make these repairs for me and save my sight.

    The ophthalmologists and the staff are great, caring and listens to your concerns. They answer all question in a manner you can understand. Dr. They gives a very thorough exams. I highly recommend The Kovach Eye institute for any eye issues. If you need an ophthalmologist, this is the place to go. You won't regret it.
