    I was a patient of Dr. Robert G. Taub's for 30 years, and was so sad when he passed away...and I was worried about his successors in the practice (even though Dr. Taub did work with these doctors before his passing). But my fears were unfounded. Everyone is friendly, professional, intelligent, and efficient. They have updated and enlarged the practice with more people and new equipment. It's a little more corporate than it was in the old days--which is no surprise because the practice is larger--but it still has a good vibe, and everyone there (especially Hector) is kind and attentive.

    My regular eye doctor called and got me a consultation within 24 hours of her call. Ended up as a detached retina and had surgery less than another 24 hrs. These kind of emergencies are nothing to put off. Dr Saad and support staff are very professional and knowledgeable.

    Dr. Kovach is absolutely outstanding, as is his staff -- deeply knowledgeable, extremely competent, highly experienced and professional, providing very clear explanations throughout. I am very impressed and appreciative of the excellent personal attention and incomparable care -- which reflect Dr. Kovach's decades-long dedication to protecting and restoring the eyesight of his patients. I was recently taken to the best emergency room in the area for vision problems, and they immediately referred me to Dr. Kovach as the premier physician in our region; this recommendation was echoed by a number of other medical professionals, and now having received his superb care I fully understand why. I feel enormously fortunate to have the best ophthalmologist in Chicagoland, assuring the continued health and safety of my eyes.

    Among the cataract surgeons referred to by my optometrist, I selected the Kovach Eye Institute facility in South Barrington as it was in close proximity to Arlington Heights. During the initial visit at the Eye Institute, a thorough eye examination was performed, and various intraocular lens (IOL) options were discussed including toric IOLs that correct astigmatism as well. I chose Symfony and Symfony Toric--best overall for distance, intermediate and near vision correction. I also opted femtosecond laser-assisted cataract surgery for its precision and efficacy. The out-patient surgery and required follow-up office appointments were scheduled, and Dr. Kevin Kovach performed the cataract surgery on each eye within a ten day interval at Midwest Center for Day Surgery in Downers Grove, IL. I was very pleased with the results following each respective eye operation. The services performed by the surgeon and accompanying staff at the clinic were efficient and proficient. Pre- and post-surgery surgery instructions are explicit, and a personal call was made the day after each surgery checking on my condition. Dr. Kovach has the unequivocal and essential experience that retains a patient's confidence needed in such procedures. My post-operative results and checkups have been extremely satisfactory with no complications.
