I had a surgical repair for a detached retina at the surgical center in Itasca. The staff was professional, courteous and personal. I was prepared for surgery that lasted about 40 minutes and I was out the door in perhaps another half hour. I had a follow up appointment the following day in Elmhurst and was reassured about the surgery and my outcome.

After experiencing a rapid onset of vision loss in my right eye I followed up my optometrist who immediately observed a detached retina. She called the Kovach Eye Institute who got me in right away. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and was eventually examined by the doctor. He explained my options and I've chosen to have surgery the following week. The scheduling staff is coordinating everything. Looking forward to a full recovery.
