Four days after my 49th birthday, October 15th is the 1st day the retina in my right eye was detached. I did not know what was going on with my vision. Daily my vision was getting worse. Im a military veteran the VA set up an appointment for me on the 21st. I saw Doctor Vimal Sarup he confirmed my retina detachment and set up a vitrectomy surgery for the 24th. It took approximately maybe 2hrs I was back home resting. Ive seen him for every follow-up visit. I went to the clinics in McAllen, Weslaco Brownsville. The staff in all the offices Ive visited have been great very helpful. Yes, there is a possibility you will be there waiting 1-2 hrs to see the doctor because there are plenty of patients of all ages that go there but it is definitely worth the wait. Im on my 7th week post op recovery. Although my eyesight still isnt at 100% it is gradually getting there my retina has reattached perfectly. I definitely recommend this office. Dr. Sarup will be greatly missed since he will be going back to his country soon. I had severe nearsightedness astigmatism before all this even with corrected lenses lasik my eyesight wasnt great, the best that could be done I was always told was 20/50. Now Im being told the best will be 20/25 . Ill take that anyday!

I was very pleased with the through exam that was done on me at the Brownsville office by Dr. Sharup! He explained everything very patiently and with great expertise!

Great customer service! Went to the Brownsville location and was highly satisfied with the care I received. I was seen promptly for an urgent matter. Staff was courteous, friendly, and reassuring. Will definitely recommend.
