As a physician and an ophthalmologist, I was very confident in being treated by Dr. Goel. Obviously, surgical skills are important, but the pre-surgical planning can sometimes be even more important and Dr. Goel excels at both. He was very thoughtful about the plan, especially given my profession, and was fantastic from start to finish. I cant recommend him highly enough!

Full disclosure to start, Ive known Dr. Goel for many years and have a business relationship and friendship with him. I work on what we call the industry side of laser vision correction, which means that the company I work for manufactures and sales the lasers used by surgeons like Dr. Goel. I travel the US and know many surgeons who perform laser vision correction, in the US and abroad. I could have taken my daughter anywhere for her SMILE treatment, but I chose to come up to Maryland from South Carolina to have Dr. Goel perform her treatment. Why? He is one of the most experienced laser vision surgeons in the US. He is kind and caring and his staff embodies the same compassionate approach. If you are considering SMILE or vision correction, this is the place!
