I am 80 years old and had worn Rigid Gas Permeable (RGP) contact lenses for monovision since 1987, but due to aging problems was no longer able to tolerate them. Cataract surgery with Toric IOL lenses was recommended as the best solution, but I was terrified about operating on my eyes at this age.Dr. Sonny Goel is not only an excellent surgeon, but cares about his patients in a way that is rare among medical professionals today. His staff is also friendly, caring, and patient enough to answer all my questions and there were a lot of them.I eventually had cataract surgery on both eyes with the procedure termed Monovision with 2 IOLs and am delighted with the results. I can see as well or better than I did with the contacts, though I still sometimes need 3.0 reading glasses for smaller print. I would recommend Dr. Goel without reservation to anyone with eye problems.

Dr. Goel and his team are absolutely amazing to work with! I had the SMILE procedure done and from scheduling the consult to my follow up visits, everyone was very kind and helpful. Dr. Goel has great bedside manner and he and his team really make you feel comfortable going into the procedure. I would definitely recommend!
