So they have 12 different locations in central Florida. Some of them are better than others I have been told, both by patients and the ladies at the front desk. I do like the fact that they have multiple eye specialties in-house, so if there was a problem Florida Eye Clinic would still be able to provide care. Dr. Sandoval is great and probably the best optometrist I have had in the 10+ years I've been seeing optometrists/eye doctors. Contacts require at least 2 appointments-- the initial exam & fitting, and a follow-up. If they have to order the trial pair(s) or there is an issue, then that would mean a 3rd appointment. I've experienced this at numerous places so it's not abnormal. The administration staff is professional and efficient. One location handles the scheduling for all of the locations. Ive been coming to the Kissimmee location for two years now and between annual exams, glasses, and contacts I've made a lot of appointments. Some I've cancelled and rescheduled; one they cancelled & scheduled due to a hurricane. Ive always gotten a call back if not later the same day, always by the next business morning. They also have the optical (glasses store) in house as well, but I do not know if that is the same for all locations. The parking lot at the Kissimmee location can get full, especially in the mornings when they have a lot of appointments. Appointments can run behind sometimes, but I think the longest I waited past my appointment time was my very first visit and it was maybe 15 minutes. They seem to be busiest right before back to school, when everyone is getting glasses for the school year, and at the beginning of the year when benefits start. Some tips: There is a single unisex restroom in the main lobby/waiting area. Of note when planning your travels, there is an elementary school on West Donegan Ave and the carpool line can cause congestion at the intersection with North Central Ave coming from that direction so be prepared. If it's your first visit, do the paperwork before you arrive! It's a lot of time and there's more paperwork when you get there. If you take medications, write down the names and the dosage.
