I've always been quite near-sighted and had trouble with both glasses and contacts. 18 months ago Dr. Downer removed cataracts from both of my eyes, installed lenses and performed Lasic surgery on them. For the first time in my 70 years I can see! I just had my 18 month follow-up and my vision is 20/20! Every time I think of Dr. Downer I I get a little teary. God bless him!

I had my first eye exam a few years ago with Dr. Sayoc and was impressed then how much time he took to problem solve my eyes to help me get the right eye glass prescription as having cataract surgery previously with mono vision made my eyes a little more complicated. He went above and beyond and explained things so well so i could understsnd. When I scheduled my recent appointment, I again asked for him and again he took so much time helping me. He is such a critical thinker when something doesnt work and he has to try something different. His perseverance to help get the prescription the best it can be is like no other. He even took me outside with glasses on to make sure the final prescription was good. I learned however that he will be leaving Clay Eye. This is very upsetting as you are losing a dedicated optometrist. I hope you can find a way to keep him on staff for least limited number of days each month. He is that good that I could see his patients wanting to follow him elsewhere! Please dont let that happen!! Thank you Dr. Sayoc for being the caring and dedicated optometrist you are! Beth March
