Dr. Broyles and staff have been wonderful, making my surgeries and treatments painless and effective. Dr. Broyles took the time to explain the procedures to the level of detail that definitely put me at ease. She has proven to be very knowledgeable and has a very calming presence throughout the process. I have highly recommended her to all of my family and friends.
Due to blurry vision in my left eye for quite some time, over the past 6 months I went to see an my optometrist 4 or 5 times, where we tried a number of things (several trials of new contacts, and prescription eye drops) that didnt work. And then we moved about 4 hrs away so I had to find a new eye dr. I went to see a recommended ophthalmologist. We tried a few things over 3-4 weeks (antibiotic anti viral drops) with only slight improvement. He suggested I see a corneal specialist. I was frustrated at not having clear vision for so long and was ready to take matters to whatever level necessary.Dr Broyles and staff at Lake Austin Eye were fantastic! Efficient, kind, knowledgeable and caring from the start! I was put on serum eye drops (made from my own stem cells) and a steroid drop, and as of my 3rd visit - I can actually see better out of my left eye now, better than my right eye, and without any contacts!!Dr Broyles is awesome - very thorough and knowledgeable. I was willing to try anything to get the problem corrected. She told me about the serum drops, and said theyd had really good results with them. Although not covered by insurance, and somewhat expensive, at this point, cost didnt matter. She also said that the issue I had was fixable but it might take some time for it to get better (I was thinking months). After having blood drawn, it took about a week to get the drops, which I started immediately. At my second visit with Dr Broyles, one week after starting the drops, I was already seeing better. We were encouraged. At my 3rd visit, 3 weeks after that, we were both surprised when I could read the smaller letters better with my left eye than my right eye! (Note: Ive been wearing contacts for 45+ years! I had cataract surgery 6 years ago, but continued wearing contacts, readers, glasses as my eyesight was never crystal clear after that surgery.)I absolutely recommend Lake Austin Eye! Im continuing to use the serum drops, and after only 5 weeks, Im seeing better than I have in years! When you have clear vision, even when its corrected, you tend to take it for granted. When you dont see clearly, even with correction, it affects everything you do throughout your daily life. I could not be more impressed with Dr Broyles expertise, or more relieved to have this eye issue resolved! And an added bonus: I may never have to wear contacts ever again!

Dr. Broyles is the best! She is knows more than any opthamologist Ive scene, diagnosing an issues that others were not able to after years of struggling. She always gives me plenty of time during the visit and we are resolving an issue that has plagued me for years. Her staff is super friendly, helpful and always a pleasure to work with.
