One of the fastest and easiest doctors appointments I've ever been too! Dr. Wilkins looked at my back, tested a few things and quickly came up with a plan of action. He even made sure that I wasn't going to be spending money that didn't need to be spent (loved that cause most doctors just say do this and don't consider the financial aspect of their patients). My mom had been seen by multiple doctors in a 2 month period who just gave her muscle relaxers for back pain. We could never get a referral to a neurologist that would call us back. In the meantime, we were sent to Dr. Wilkins to help manage her back pain. He took one look at my mom & knew there was more going on& that she needed to be seen by a neurologist. He put us in touch with an amazing neurologist who confirmed Dr. Wilkins suspicions. She had emergency surgery on her NECK to prevent her from becoming paralyzed. Her spinal cord was compressed down to a thin 2.5 mm! Every doctor missed it, but oneDr. Wilkins. I will never be able to thank him enough for saving her. Dr. Wilkins and his PA Vivian Sarne have been managing my chronic back pain for a couple of years. I had radiofrequency nerve ablations of nerves on both sides of my thoracic spine. This procedure did help lower my pain level for a little more than a year, and Ms. Sarne has been diligent with bi-monthly virtual office visits and pain management via medications. I had six injections yesterday on my lower back and after 7 years I woke up pain free, all I could do was cry. There is no recommendation high enough for Dr. Wilkins and his staff at the Texas Spine surgery center in Allen. I did local anesthesia, I do t recommend it, let them put you to sleep. I had someone rubbing my shoulder and someone holding my hands through it. Thank you all so much for what you do to make people feel better, I woke up with tears of joy, one day after my procedure. Honestly, I cant believe I am leaving a review but just wanted to share my story. I have had neck pain for the past 15 years and I am now 40! I had a left/right firsnenotimy which was successful in relieving a big chunk of the pain but I still had some problems that I just lived with it, until last year.
